A photo to commemorate Anzac Day (April 25).

The plaque underneath explains the sculpture (in Wellington): This memorial to all medics and stretcher bearers is modelled on a photograph of New Zealander Richard Alexander Henderson and his donkey, taken by Sergeant James Gardiner (Jas) Jackson of the New Zealand Medical Corps. It was unveiled on Poppy Day, April 20, 1990, by Ross Henderson, son of Richard Henderson, in the presence of one of his father’s fellow stretcher bears, William (Bill) White, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Gallipoli Landings on April 25, 1915….
