The Twelve Days of Christmas gets reworked many ways. Here’s a version that may be appreciated by any gardener who grows fruit and veg.
Although as I’ve had to cheat a little with the photos (to be sure of only using ones that have no copyright issues), I’ll have to ask purists to forgive me!
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me:
12 plum tomatoes
11 Maris pipers
10 Lord Lambourne apples
9 Black Lady mulberries
8 pickled gherkins
7 Sauvignon grapes
6 swedes a growing
5 Egmont gold carrots
3 French pippins
2 black turtle beans
And a Bartlett pear in the pear tree.
Merry Christmas to all WordPress bloggers
Here’s the slideshow version: sadly silent, as only one song would fit – and I’m not about to sing a soundtrack 🙂
